One of the many pieces of aural connective tissue found on One Man’s Trash, in this case between “Mr. Completely” and “That Dream Machine,” “A Good Stalk” could refer to hunting or to the support mechanism of a plant. But the uneasy feedback, combined with what sounds like the deadwax of a vinyl record, seems to evoke the image of sinister figure moving quickly and angrily down a dark, foggy street.
Or, it could be about rhubarb.
