griseus Look, I don't remember much about this show: it occurred almost 25 years ago. But JMP came to New Orleans a lot in those days, with a few different drummers, and what I remember being notable is this: those drummers might have been as skilled as Fish, and probably as creative, but none of them listened like he did. Fish was completely tuned into the other players, his drums in constant dialogue with the other instruments. More than anything else, that is his superpower.

Well, that and YEAH.
