earl3542 I was lucky enough to go to these shows. The weather was perfect and downtown San Diego had no idea what was about to happen. Parking for the Speckles Theater was anywhere you could find it. There wasn't much of a lot scene - just a bunch of dirty hippies walking around near the venue. The show wasn't sold out but ushers were tight on keeping you outta the aisles. People were puffing tough so no one was getting pinched. The music was incredible as usual. The people in front of us were noobs at their 1st show. They turned to us after the first set and they said they 'never heard any of those tunes but it was awesome'. Aftershow, our friend Suzy got to party with Trey until 3am. She said he smoked all her kind. Puffed like a chimney.

2nd night was different on the scene. Looks like the cops were onto us. 1st night - no police before or after show. 2nd night, cops were on it. You dare not park and puff this night. On the way into the show, a cop was ticketing a phan for jaywalking, his pregnant girlfriend started getting in the cops face and he straight pushed her down on her ass. She was obviously preggo. Not a cool scene. The makisupa was definitely called for. That calmed a tense pre-show vibe. The maze took off and the first set didn't let up. It's still one of my fav first sets. The closer was perf for the mood of the room. Great venue - great 2 shows. Enjoy kids!
