The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
And, i want to thank you for your PSA. Tinnitus really is an important issue for all music-lovers to be aware of. It hits close to home because my dad, who was my gateway into great music, has struggled to enjoy music nearly at all since his tinnitus began over a decade ago. And, he's tried everything with little or no help. Plus, since his is associated with a significant loss of hearing as well, it's been a double whammy.
