dabpigpen That is very well written. Like a good history thesis. Brings back a multitude of memories. And hope and dreams and head nods and smiles and fleeting thoughts and deep inner warmth and appreciation. And love. Very few places and times are more precious than a Phish show (Grateful Dead shows are/were right there too). I never felt more calm, peaceful, happy, at home, accepted, fulfilled, excited or enthused than at shows by these two bands in particular. And this essay brings up those feelings. Music, live music, done to create and explore, not regurgitate, is just super special!! And somehow we as fans/heads are an integral part of the overall experience and the success or lack thereof. Well done. I am going to read it again. And re re listen to some shows. Thanks
