Nice recap. I agree that the segues sound...well...intentional. Not to complain, I've been wanting them to segue more since the end of hiatus (2003), and I'm all for them finding ways to make the hoses fit together, but this Ghost-> Steam is a far cry from the Bag-> Ghost-> Cities from 7/6/98. Maybe they'll keep honing it through this tour, and actually have some pretty smooth segues, but something tells me they'll feel practiced if they limit it to the 30 songs in heavy rotation.
