MYSTERY JAM MONDAY PART 488

Happy New Year and welcome to the 488th edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the first puzzle of 2022! The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the song and dates of both mystery clips. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Stay safe!

Answer: Congrats to @Ry_storm on his fifth MJM win, closing within a pair of the MJM Hall of Fame! This week he blitzed the puzzle, quickly identifying both SFSYSFs: 10/17/21 "Set Your Soul Free" and 7/25/18 "Set Your Soul Free," both played in my hometown with yours truly in attendance. Incidentally, I now scream in excitement instead of groaning when the band calls the tune. See you Tuesday, as we'll respect the Rev. Dr. King on Monday.

SYSF AND San Francisco

mcgrupp81 An intentional tribute to San Fran’s recently departed Danny Tanner? My friend commented once that on one Full House episode, it was relayed that the Tanner family had gone to or was going to a Dead show. There’s points for that. There are also massive “patience and calm” points for Danny Tanner as he simply stated his disappointment in Stephanie when she accidentally went into reverse and drove a car into the family’s kitchen. He could have lost his cool, but he was very understanding. The poor girl mistook “R” for radio, when she went into shifted into reverse. She was likely looking to hear Touch of Grey and dismayed that Junta was receiving little airplay. RIP Bob Saget.
