Welcome to the 413th edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the third contest of April. The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the songs and dates of both mystery clips. Each person gets one guess to start – if no one answers correctly in the first 24 hours, I'll post a hint. After the hint, everyone gets one more guess before Wednesday at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Happy holidays!
Answer: Congrats to @sumac22 on his first MJM win, identifying both Summer '99 jams: 7/24/99 ("The Man Who Stepped Into Yesterday" ->) "Jam" and 7/8/99 "Simple." MJM414 drops Monday - stay safe!

The Mockingbird Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by Phish fans in 1996 to generate charitable proceeds from the Phish community.
And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
1)A Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode where Homer disappears into a wall in his home and a flummoxed Ned Flanders exclaims, "As the tree said to the lumberjack, I'm stumped".
2)The scene from "Field of Dreams" where Kevin Costner's character is watching a Red Sox game at Fenway Park and hears "Go the Distance" in the air. That's you man. You need to go the distance and solve this.
3)You said you were in great pain. Maybe that's a good thing based on your username. I envision a man subjected to poison sumac in his daily life, which, according to my extremely limited search, is a plant that some botanists consider "the most toxic plant species in the United States". Maybe this pain of searching for the 1st jam is a distraction from the sumac pain.
Good luck with your search. That 1st jam is a nice mellow one appropriate for today and tomorrow, and I must say it's a pretty tasty AUD copy at that.
1999-07-08 Simple
I figured out that Simple pretty quickly as well, because I knew Pete wouldn’t be so cruel as to give us some random Coil outro clip. Or would he?
