Welcome to the 267th edition of Phish.Net's Mystery Jam Monday, the final and presumably most difficult of March. The winner will receive an MP3 download code courtesy of our friends at LivePhish.com / Nugs.Net. To win, be the first person to identify the songs and dates of the four mystery clips - these clips are connected by a theme, but the theme needn't be part of the answer. Each person gets one guess – if no one guesses correctly, I will post a hint on Tuesday, after which each person gets one more guess before I reveal the correct answer on Wednesday around 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. Good luck!

Answer: Major league congratulations to @dbertsch, who hit an out-of-the-park, grand slam homer in the bottom of the 9th inning, off a tough knuckleball, to win his 7th and final MJM contest. @dbertsch now joins that super elite club of retired MJM winners, as only its 11th member. Welcome to the Pantheon of MJM Emeriti. As he correctly noted, this week's tracks were all covers, and included the Drowned from 7/17/13, Skin It Back from 2/20/88, Rock & Roll from 9/17/00, and the awesome Have Mercy from 10/20/10. This last clip is part of an excellent SOAM > Have Mercy > Piper > SOAM from the Guyutica show. Fans seemed to have forgotten about this show, which really demonstrated that Phish was back in good form. So check it out, if it's been awhile. Congrats again to @dbertsch. Next week, @ucpete will be back, throwing a nice, underhanded, slow-and-over-the-plate softball for the first (and easiest) MJM of April.

And since we're entirely volunteer – with no office, salaries, or paid staff – administrative costs are less than 2% of revenues! So far, we've distributed over $2 million to support music education for children – hundreds of grants in all 50 states, with more on the way.
- Know one right away
- Find the second in a few minutes.
- NEVER find the last one or two.
Always.
Well I have an excuse:
- my fiance is on summer break (teacher) so i decided to take the same week off as well. We're hitting a number of fairly local breweries we've been meaning to hit for a while with this time. (Yes I have a fiance who loves craft beer as insanely as I do and will drink the heaviest of barrel aged stuff as i do along with anything else in between. It's kind of awesome. Kind of a one week bender for us. Until Round 3 of the bracket starts!)
- We're also looking at weddimg venues between drinking and the bracket.
So that's my excuse. Besides not knowing any of these offhand.
Gotta save the brainpower for the Mystery Jam Madness Elite 8!
I am thinking that the cover of the magazine mentions more than one musician with songs performed by phish.
2/20/1988 - Skin It Back
9/17/2000 - Rock and Roll
10/20/2010 - Have Mercy
Theme: Covers!
Now I will go back into my hole.
What a tough puzzle! I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without the hint, considering that 3/4 jams were not in the jam charts. Like some others have commented, I was also a little distracted by the other possible meanings of the hint (Lou Reed covers, versions of "Rock and Roll", Rolling Stones covers, It's Ice, musical costume songs, 50 Cent covers, etc.). I think that made the puzzle even better. Luckily for me, I guessed right and searched generally for cover songs.
Anyway, thanks to @Dog_Faced_Boy for putting it on this week! Looking forward to seeing what has in store for round 3 of the MJM madness!
