PlayingMantis The volcanic, amazing conclusion to the space the 11/14/97 Twist opened up. Hear Trey's wide open leads swirling and churning, not bound by anything earthly as Page washes them in supporting flourishes of harmony. Fishman, meanwhile, is modulating the rhythm seamlessly over and over again while Mike follows him in perfect lockstep. All of the dynamics and shifts in energy in the second half perfectly build the context for the segue into Izabella which, during a lazy listen, may seem like a sudden decision but actually falls gracefully into place in the jam/set.

n00b100 On the short list of greatest jams of all time - ridiculous cohesion, musical power, and one of Those Segues to cap it off. A very, very large part of why so many folks consider 12/6/97 II the set to beat.
