chuckg This is a show that'll likely get lost in the shuffle in the long run, but that was extremely enjoyable live and will play back well, too, I suspect. The new songs were played with tremendous gusto, and Petrichor, to open, was a ballsy - and very true-to-form - move that in my opinion really paid off. I'm looking forward to hearing it again and to seeing it get stretched out a bit as well. DwD, though short, gets into some awesome, hard-edged action before a super slick segue into a sharp Cities. Light is all over the place, but without feeling unfocused - a strong jam filled with interesting ideas. Generally, even though there's no one jam that will enter any pantheons, there really isn't a low point to speak of here. Excellent tour opener.
